Well, I didn’t leave today. This was for a number of reasons, not the least of which were the heavy downpours during the afternoon. I might have started my ride anyway, but the guy who was supposed to take care of my geckos bailed on me, so I had to find someone else. This also gave me more time, much-needed, to pack up all my stuff and tie up loose ends here in Toronto. Tomorrow it will still be rainy, but not nearly so much, and I will be off.

Never thought I’d get a mention as “the guy who bailed.” In my defence, I didn’t really bail, I just warned that there were complications and asked you to call before bringing them, which you didn’t do. As it turned out, if you had it would’ve been fine, as I was able to talk my landlord into allowing it after all (had initially said no, hence the problems), but not until you’d already found someone else.
I apologise for waiting until the last minute to clear it with my landlord, which put you at inconvenience. We also already had this conversation, I just wanted to say it publically — if I’m going to get accused of bailing where people can read it, I might as well give my side as well, right?
